After receiving the new Premiere Eastern Palace Bundle, I quickly went online to explore the possible reaches of inspiration behind this set. I was blown away with the artwork and intricate designs. The colors are vibrant and regal.
Many of those elements are found in this stunning bundle!
Starting with the Eastern Palace Cardstock Pack and the grounding color of gold, a project idea came to light.
Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide Cardstock, from the new 2017-2019 in Color Collection, provided the foundation for my project with a small strip of Gold Foil between the two colors.
A circular pattern was heat embossed and repeated on the Fresh Fig Panel.
(Just a note- the Gold heat embossing must be done before the Clear embossing when layering.) The same embossing powders was used on the Tranquil Tide Cardstock with another stamped image.
For the medallion, a circular frame, using two dies from the Layering Circles Framelits, offers a base to add the subsequent layers cut from the Eastern Medallions Thinlits in Gold Foil and Tranquil Tide Cardstocks. To keep the sentiment simple, life is beautiful was stamped in Jet Black Staz On due to the heat embossing underneath.
Bonus--With the remnants of cardstock, I created a second similar card!
After completing this project for the Global Design Project, the ideas for other card projects began swarming in my mind! Some of which, I have completed and others I have yet to create! I am completely taken by and inspired by this marvelous bundle!
One thought involved recreating this project on Very Vanilla Cardstock, stamping off first and using the lighter hues of the new colors in similar patterns, and pairing with a layered white medallion!
Some of my additional completed projects goes outside of the theme of this card altogether! I am having so much fun with this bundle and cannot recommend adding this set to your own Stampin' Stash soon!
