Aim for Alaska 2017 Holiday Catalog Sneak Peak Blog Hop

Image may contain: mountain, outdoor, nature and water

Welcome to Tattered Shoes Designs and the Aim for Alaska 2017 Holiday Catalog Sneak Peak Blog Hop!  Well, that is what this post was suppose to be, but I mixed up my due dates!  I decided to post my sneak peak as a solo affair...

I am so excited to see all the other new and amazing Holiday treats created for the upcoming Holiday Season and the the opportunity to play with a few items that arrived here in my craft studio!

I have incorporated a few new items from the Holiday Catalog with a set I just highlighted in my last Stampin' Up! class for the month of August and another set I will feature in my class for the month of September. I will return to share those card designs another time.

Today, I am showcasing a card using a few fantastic items from the 2017-2018 Creativity your Way Catalog along with some new items from the Creativity Delivered 2017 Holiday Catalog!  Stampin' Up! is so good at creating new items that pair so well with the items we are already loving!

I began with Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock and the largest geometric die in the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Set, which offered a wonderful golden hue and backdrop to my Christmas card.

Next,  I used a Stitched Shaped Circle die to cut out a little globe of gold and silver snow flakes from the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I think this DSP is my favorite!

Then, a little greenery cut from a Patterned Pumpkins Thinlit added a little contrast for the Real Red Cup of Delight created using the Coffee Cups Framelits along with the Merry Cafe and the Half Full Stamp Sets!

Wow! What a wonderful match in Card Bliss!

A few wispy curls of steam, created with a couple of dies from Patterned Pumpkins Thinlit Dies rise up from the imagined hot cup of perfection within.

A little more gold during the Holiday Season is always welcomed! The Merry Christmas from the Half Full Stamp Set is embossed in gold and framed using a few Glitter Enamel Dots.

A few details added to the cup also includes some gold embossing from the Christmas Quilt Stamp Set. The remaining images are stamped using first and second generation stamping with Cherry Cobbler on the Real Real cup.

A little more Gold Foil Sheeting finished off the top of this Eclectic Christmas brew!

I hope you enjoyed my card and continue down the path of inspiration with the tantalizing items to be found in the new Creativity Delivered 2017 Holiday Catalog!

Kylie Bertucci's Internaitonal Highlights Top Ten Winners Blog Hop

At Home with You Bundle

Welcome to Tattered Shoes Designs and the Top Ten Winners Blog Hop for June's International Highlights featuring more Baby themed inspiration!

Image may contain: text

How exciting to get the opportunity to join today's Blog Hop with all the other talented and creative Designers!

One challenge for me, however, was to come up with another baby card that could remotely match the popularity of my initial card.

For some of you that may not be much of cause for nervous worry, but for me, it has been a wee bit of an issue. Even with a level of anonymity with this form of social media, for a borderline introvert like me, who is hesitant to receive any praise, the focus can be overwhelming.

To confound my tendency for avoiding the spotlight, an emotional issue within my heart and home has tempered my ability to create. Hence, the lack of my regular blogging as of late.

Enough of the somber stuff and on to some cards...

The Baby Card that brought me to the Top Ten Blog Hop can be seen below...

and without any further ado I will share my not one Baby themed card, but three!

My first card, like my last card, would offer a great baby reveal option. I repeated the basic color scheme with Powder Pink, So Saffron, and Soft Sky. However, I blended the colors to cover the entire card front.

Next, a mix of Embossing Paste and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter and the use of one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks created texture and some sparkle and shine. Unfortunately, I was not able to pick up the glimmer from the Stampin' Glitter in my photos.

The At Home With You Bundle created a playful way to reveal the surprise of not only a new baby, but the sex of the precious bundle too!

The door is cut out of So Saffron Cardstock, which is heat embossed in white. The 'Suprise' sign handing from the Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine was an extra piece of So Saffron Blended cardstock cut out with one of the small Layering Oval Framelits. The small welcome mat below the door is stamped in Smoky Slate.

Inside the open door, the pink packages and flower reveal the new surprise...a baby GIRL of course!

I watercolored and fussy cut each of the images from one of my favorite new Birthday Stamp sets called Happiest of Days. The New Baby sign is from the Happy Celebrations Stamp Set, which is stamped in Smoky Slate with a little wood texture created with the Hardwood Background Stamp

The images were heat embossed with White Embossing Powder and watercolored using an Aqua Painter and Classic Stampin' Inks in Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, and So Saffron.

Using the same idea from the above card, I created two Baby Congratulation cards.

I created an ombre effect using Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo, and Melon Mambo Classic Stampin' Pads.

A brick motif backdrop was created by blending Rose Red Ink on top of another one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.

The Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack and the At Home with You Bundle was used along with Early Espresso Ink and Crumb Cake Cardstock to create the door, sign, and the welcome mat.

Again, the New Baby sentiment is from the Happy Celebrations Stamp Set and the the G-I-R-L was created with the Labeler Alphabet Stamp Set. The same variety of ink colors used on the front of the card was used here too.

These cards not only send out a Congrats, but also welcomes the bundle too!

For this card, I blended a combination of Marina Mist, Pacific Point, and Dapper Denim. In hindsight, I think I should have gone with a lighter combination of ink colors due to the lack of difference of the colors displayed. Perhaps, a lighter hand would have done the trick! Anyway, I went with it.

The brick background was blended using Night of Navy and a Pattern Party Decorative Mask.

The same colors appear again on the inside of the card creating the sentiment.

Thank You for stopping by and checking out my new Baby themed cards and supporting Kylie's International Highlights Blog Hop! It was a humbling experience and an honor to participate this month!

Continue to hop to see more inspiration created by the next Designer!

Welcome to Kylie's International Blog Highlights! A Baby theme steals the show this month! One incredible bonus with this months International Highlights is the incredible New Creativity Your Way 2017-2018 Annual Catalog! What a wonderful assortment of new options to mix with some of the much loved and familiar Stampin' Up! staples.

The base of the card offers a great option for a gender reveal shower! The Lovely Inside & Out Stamp Set in Powder Pink, So Saffron, and Soft Sky covers the length of the card offering a color combination fit for any new bundle of joy!

Next, the Large Letters Framelits spell out a popped out 'BABY' four layers thick in the same cardstock colors as that of the coordinating Classic Stampin' Up! Inks used. Grid Paper comes in really handy to line up everything!

What would a Baby Shower Card be without an Umbrella from the Weather Together Stamp Set!

The Umbrella image was stamped in Smoky Slate on top of the circular images from the Lovely Inside & Out Stamp Set. An additional umbrella was stamped and decorated with the assorted hearts, fussy cut, and popped up on dimensionals above the stamped image.

The solid hearts received a little glossy accents touch with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

The little package can be the final little reveal giveaway! The pretty little package is popped up using a few other fussy cut packages adhered one on top of the other. Here the dots also have a touch of clear dimension created again from using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

Finally, the Whisper White panel was cut down slightly and centered on a Smokey Slate 5.5" x 4.25" panel and adhered to a top folding Thick Whisper White Card base.

Global Design Project GDP#089 Color Challenge

Falling Flowers

Thank You for stopping by and checking out the latest Global Design Project! This week a color challenge offers projects from designers and other papercrafters. Click on the image below to see all card designs.

I created a card with the Falling Flowers Stamp Set and the May Flowers Framelits using the challenge colors in varying degrees. Basic Black, Old Olive, and Calypso Coral Cardstocks, Vellum, Embossing Powder, a Textured Embossing Impressions Folder, and Classic Stampin' Up! Ink Pads provided perfect mediums to create this week's challenge card.

The largest bloom was stamped in Calypso Coral to create a tone on tone image with a layered center embossed with VersaMark Black Ink and Clear Embossing Powder.

The next largest bloom was also stamped in Calypso Coral Classic Stampin' Ink on Calypso Coral Cardstock. In addition, a Fine-Tip Glue pen added a clear layer of adhesive and depth of color.

Vellum was stamped with a Calypso Coral Classic Stampin' Pad and then stamped again with Black VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. A cutout of Very Vanilla provided a base for the colored Vellum.

Old Olive Cardstock, along with VersaMark and Old Olive Classic Ink was used to create all the greenery.

A focal point of Basic Black offered the perfect backdrop for the sentiment and Floral cluster.

Very Vanilla Cardstock with an Oh My Stars Impression Folder created the card base and Thick Vanilla Cardstock provided the vertical Folding Card.

Thank You for join me this week for another Global Design Project Challenge. Subscribe to my Blog!

Aim for Alaska Blog Hop Catalog Sneak Peek

Daisy Delight & Lovely Friends

Welcome to the Aim for Alaska Blog Hop! I recently joined the Aim for Alaska Training group and I am enjoying the benefits of a supportive community, which seeks to share information on a variety of topics aimed to grow one an others Stampin' Up! business!

Image may contain: mountain, sky, outdoor, nature and water

I am so excited to have the opportunity to learn from a vast number of leaders and other demonstrators who are sharing their success (and their failures), as well as the option of participating in events that provide a platform to share and foster creativity like this blog hop!

I decided to do a little watercoloring backdrop for the Delightful Daisy Suite in Bermuda Bay.

I also stamped the script impression form the Background Bits Hostess Stamp Set in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake Cardstock, which is followed by a Whisper White Frame cut from Stitched Shapes Framelits and stamped with other images form the Daisy Delight Stamp Set.

Fussy Cutting, not my favorite thing, of a few leaves and a stem placed in the center of the frame ends in a watercolored daisy punched with the new Daisy Punch.

A Thank You Banner punched with the Banner Triple Punch and layered with Vellum sits across the front of the card.

There are so many new items set to debut the 1st of June from the new Creativity Your Way 2017-2018 Annual Catalog! Hopefully, my card and the other projects in the Aim for Alaska Blog Hop has your creative juices flowing with new and exciting inspiration!
