RemARKably Creative Blog Tour
Today, I am excited to share a Father's Day card for the RemARKably Creative Tour featuring the Underground Suite!
I put a lot of thought of what elements I would choose to create a project to share with you all. There are so many awesome products making up this Suite! In the end, I just sat down and started creating.
I created a stencil with the Build It Framelits Dies, which I cut out from a piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock. Using a blending tool, I smushed the Smoky Slate into the negative images.
I love the way the Smoky Slate establishes a stark contrast on the Whisper White Cardstock. Without losing too much of the blended background, a 3 x 3 square of vellum made the perfect backdrop option for the Delightful Dijon Happy Father's Day Sentiment stamped using an Archival Black Stampin' Pad.
I went back and forth about just leaving the vellum unstamped, but in the end, without too much fuss about perfect alignment, I repeatedly stamped Nailed It! in Jet Black Staz On ink. While my stamping was not perfectly aligned, using Stampin' Up! Grid Paper was a must!
Layered Basic Gray and Delightful Dijon from the Urban Underground Cardstock Pack fashioned a mat around the base of the card and the frame. Finally, four of the cool silver embellishments builds more interest and creates a visual flow repeating the focal point shape.
