Aim for Alaska Blog Hop Catalog Sneak Peek

Daisy Delight & Lovely Friends

Welcome to the Aim for Alaska Blog Hop! I recently joined the Aim for Alaska Training group and I am enjoying the benefits of a supportive community, which seeks to share information on a variety of topics aimed to grow one an others Stampin' Up! business!

Image may contain: mountain, sky, outdoor, nature and water

I am so excited to have the opportunity to learn from a vast number of leaders and other demonstrators who are sharing their success (and their failures), as well as the option of participating in events that provide a platform to share and foster creativity like this blog hop!

I decided to do a little watercoloring backdrop for the Delightful Daisy Suite in Bermuda Bay.

I also stamped the script impression form the Background Bits Hostess Stamp Set in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake Cardstock, which is followed by a Whisper White Frame cut from Stitched Shapes Framelits and stamped with other images form the Daisy Delight Stamp Set.

Fussy Cutting, not my favorite thing, of a few leaves and a stem placed in the center of the frame ends in a watercolored daisy punched with the new Daisy Punch.

A Thank You Banner punched with the Banner Triple Punch and layered with Vellum sits across the front of the card.

There are so many new items set to debut the 1st of June from the new Creativity Your Way 2017-2018 Annual Catalog! Hopefully, my card and the other projects in the Aim for Alaska Blog Hop has your creative juices flowing with new and exciting inspiration!

Global Design Project GDP087 Theme Challenge See What is Cooking!

Sneak Peek Wood Words

Thank you for stopping by to see what I have been cooking up! Today you are in store for more than a baked treat!

Click here to see all the other entries!

I would like to introduce you to my husband. Raul spent 24 years in the United States Navy. The Navy is where we met over 20 years ago as young twenty somethings embarking on our own life's adventure.

Raul retired in 2013 and dare I say, he misses the Navy dearly! The transition to civilian life was not an easy one, but out of the process, Raul has perfected a few of his hobby undertakings.

He loves to cook! I mean, he really, really, really loves to cook! He is passionate about food and even has his own garden with amazing veggies and four chickens named Chicken noodle, Delilah, Laverne, and Shirley. He loves those fresh eggs!

One treat I enjoy every week is my hubbies homemade bread! It took months of work to become what it is today and out of Raul's labor, I enjoy his healthy, mouth watering, and hand shaped loaves. We have not purchased store bought bread for quite some time now and instead we slice into a new fresh loaf each week!

He is even thinking about creating larger batches and selling them at our local Farmer's Market along with his special mild and hot RRR Gourmet Spicy Any Food Sauce. I will have to save that for another day.

Along with featuring Raul's Homemade bread, he favors the colors yellow and blue. Not surprisingly they are his beloved Navy colors!!! Here is a photo of a throw pillow in his home office and the inspiration colors behind my project for this weeks Global Design Project Cooking, Baking, and Making Theme Challenge.

I created a fun tag to adorn Raul's labor of love. The large tag was created with Daffodil Delight Cardstock and stamped with a cluster of floral images from the new Wood Words Stamp set and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. The Wood Words Stamp Set is coming very soon in the new Creativity Your Way Annual Catalog 2017-2018!

The additional smaller banner is a strip of Whisper White Cardstock stamped with the same floral cluster but in Daffodil Delight Ink. However, the Night of Navy 'You' is from the new Lovely Friends Stamp Set.

Also, in Night of Navy is the "I Loaf' sentiment created using the Letters for You Stamp Set and Large Letters Framelits! I popped the letters up using fun foam cut with the Large Letters Framelits.

Lastly, some natural twine was used to to connect the label and banner with one additional string of twine ending in the Real Red and Crumb Cake Layered Circle and Circled Scallop shapes stamped and heat embossed with the Farmer's Market logo from the Woods Words Stamp Set.

I think we are ready for market!

Fresh from the oven and the aroma is delectable!

Sneak Peek and Retiring! Retiring! Retiring! Patriotic Red, White, and Blue

Inspiring Sneak Peek with the Retiring Stars Decorative Mask

Hopefully, I have your attention! So...I love decorative masks or, if you prefer, stencils!

I am also sad when Stampin' Up! retires a Decorative Mask, because I like to have a variety in which to choose from for my projects.

Today, I am featuring the soon to retire Stars Decorative Mask. However, I am going to use a product similar to what you can expect to see in the new Creativity Your Way Annual Catalog 2017-2018!

I am so excited by these additions in the new Stampin' Up! catalog! Check it out for yourself on page 201 under the heading "Coloring Tools!"

Additionally, if you hold in until the end of my this blog post, as an extra bonus, I will include an additional project with the retiring Hearts Decorative Mask, which is so, so cute!

I know the Fourth of July is still a bit down the road, but I am losing my stars  in a couple of weeks!  However, I am a gaining a set of four brand new masks called Pattern Party Decorative Masks with the debut of the new Annual Catalog!

I am not sure if you can tell my the photos, but I applied the stars with the use of my Palette Knives and Embossing Paste!

The white stars on the blue background is without any color and the red stars on the white background is embossing paste with Real Red Ink mixed in!

Wait, wait... I also mixed in Dazzling Diamond Stampin' Glitter! How cool is that!!! Sometimes, I even rock my own world!

I also used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, Duet Banner Punch, Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set, Gold and Silver Metallic Thread (I love this stuff), Gold and Silver Glimmer Paper, the Happy Celebrations Stamp Set, and an Aqua Painter to create a little watercolor wash backdrop.

I went back and forth about using only Silver Glimmer Paper with both cards, but ended up using Gold Glimmer Paper too! What do you think?

Check out the visitor I had today in Crafting Studio!

While I have a collection of some of the new stamp bundles from the new catalog, it is sometimes nice to highlight some of cool new little things!

If you do not have a catalog or one is not on its way to you, do not waste another minute and contact your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator today!!!
