Happy Fall and World Cardmaking Day Y'ALL

The trees are changing color and the air is crisp and cool! Fall is here!

Fall is one of my favorite seasons. I love finally turning off the air conditioning and opening all the windows. There is something magical about fall for me and I almost wish it was my all year round season. 

I say that knowing if it there was no other season but fall all year round, it would not be as special. I guess it is best to leave it like it is...one small part of the year.

This card was a fun inspiration from a Pier 1 table setting I came across as I looked through a sales brochure. While I brought a few retired items to create the seen above, there are a few currently available goodies in this card too.

Pick a Pumpkin Bundle (144670) is one of the retired sets featuring the pumpkins and a few of the colorful die cut picks. 

The Give Thanks sentiment also is from last years Creativity Delivered 2017 Holiday Catalog. It is from the Label to Love Stamp Set (144970).

The current items include the Tropical Die Set (146831), Stitched Rectangles (148551), Stitched Shapes (145372), Wild Rose (149547), Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder (152320), and the Buffalo Check Background Stamp (151372). Each of these items can be found in the Creativity Is Calling 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.

The one set debuting form the Creativity Is Calling 2019 Holiday Catalog is the Peaceful Boughs Bundle (153033).

Thick Whisper White Cardstock (140272) formed the A-2 card base and set the backdrop for black and gold splatters. 

The spatters were added by flicking the tips from a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker (100082) and a Spectrum Noir Gold Sparkle Brush off their caps. I have used other methods to add splatter marks to a project and was surprised at the amount of control this method offers.  

Next, Basic Black Cardstock (121045) was given a wooden look and cut down to a perfect rectangle to host the buffalo check in Memento Black (132708) and the fall arrangement.

The cardstock colors include Call me Clover (146969), (Crushed Curry (131199), Granny Apple Green (146990), Terracotta Tile (150884),Retired Lemon Lime Twist (144245) and Retired Cucumber Crush (138335).

Granny Apple Green (147095), Mango Melody (147093) and Memento Black  (132708) are the inks that colored the pumpkins and sentiment focal point.

This special treat is a French Toast Bowl with Carmel Sauce and Toasted Candied Pecans! The cubes of bread come from my husband's homemade multigrain bread! This dish, one of his own creations, was truly sublime! Delicioso!!!
