Coffee Anyone?

A Fall Blast From My Past

This project was created for a past Fall inspired class. There is heat embossing, a vignette ink blending technique, die cutting, use of a Gel Press, and Designers Series Paper (DSP).

The project started with a Thick Whisper White A-2 Card Base. A sentiment from the retired Coffee Cafe Stamp Set (143677) was heat embossed in white followed by ink blending over the heat embossed words.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) used is a retired set called Coffee Break. As a demonstrator, I would buy DSP packs regularly, but rarely used them. I have started to bring out some goodies from years past and incorporated them more and more.

Using a 5X7 Gel Press and Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock a uniquely coffee drenched textured impression left behind offered a perfect option in which to die cut the darker frames, coffee cups, and leaves.

It was difficult to capture the texture and dimension in the photo, but you may be able to see a little hint of it in the cup above with the Crumb Cake sleeve and leaves on the pumpkin.

The Pumpkins and leaves are also from a retired Holiday Die set called Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits Dies (144670).

The color scheme in these cards includes Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Garden Green, Island Indigo (Retired), Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky (Retired), Soft Suede, Tangerine Tango (Retired), and Whisper White,

While I have been a collector for over 3 years now, I have hardly used all the items I have decorating the shelves of my craft studio. I am trying to remedy this by using items that I have and that may not be in current Stampin' Up! Catalogs.

I encourage you, too, to take those items off the shelf collecting dust and make something new.

As far as this project goes, coffee never goes out of style.

I hope you take out some of those items that you have in your stash and bring them back by giving them a renewed life and look on your next project.

Use what you have and if you are just starting out as a collector of all things papercrafting, Stampin' Up! often has a new item that is similar. That also goes for a beverage card or a similar retired ink color featured here.

A few more of the retired items are an embossing folder called Garden Trellis (143741), Marbled Background Stamp (143755/144772), and the Lots of Labels Framelits (138281).

The color scheme here includes Basic Gray, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Flirty Flamingo, Island Indigo (Retired), Tangerine Tango (Retired), and Whisper White.

Currently you can find a darling Tea Set called Tea together (148779) and the coordinating Tea Time Dies (149697). There is always something new to foster inspiration.

If you need any basic items like cardstockink, or a set of must have basic shape dies like Layering Ovals (141706) or Squares (141708) visit my online store.

Thank You for stopping by!
