Sadly, the end is drawing near on some of my favorite 2016-2017 In Colors! However, we are on the cusp on the debut of the new 2017-2018 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog and five new fantastic In Color additions!

This card did not start out with what you see! It went through a number of grueling and time consuming changes! Sometimes that is how crafting and creating goes...

I used Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, and Mint Macaron on my project! I threw in a little black and white DSP and Black Cardstock for a pop and contrast.

On Mint Macaron Cardstock I stamped the leaf cluster, from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set, in Craft Stampin' Ink. It added just a bit of soft interest to the background.  In addition, the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder provides a little something extra in the upper right corner.

Two of the large rose images cut from the Rose Garden Thinlits, glued together with Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue, created a faux chipboard Shimmery White outline of the rose and wells to drop in the Watermelon Wonder Cardstock for the pedals.

I utilized a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock and repeatedly pressed my Watermelon Wonder Stampin' Pad over the surface of the cardstock to create the darker center in the flower above!

Cucumber Crush Cardstock pieces finished the floral image and my puzzle of sorts was completed.

A strip of Diagonal black and white Cardstock from the retiring Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack grounded and balanced the black and white sentiment.

I do not know about you, but I have had a rough week! I am not sure if it is hormones or other triggers of heavy emotional sludge, but I am so glad to be feeling more like my happy self today! Not that I am normally an optimistic type that whistles and walks at the same time (Sometimes I wish I was more like that!).  I am a bit of a negative Nancy. At times I probably give others a feeling of a looming grey cloud. Just my temperament and not a really a negative (I think???).  Regardless of my ever changing mood, I am so happy you took time to check out my project and I hope you subscribe to my blog!

  1. Oh Wow, Valdegur. Your rose is else, something else, and the extra stamping of colour to centre of your rose is amazing. Thankyou for playing along to this weeks Global Design Project Challenge. Please pin your project to the GDP Pinterest board.
