I would like to introduce you to my husband. Raul spent 24 years in the United States Navy. The Navy is where we met over 20 years ago as young twenty somethings embarking on our own life's adventure.
Raul retired in 2013 and dare I say, he misses the Navy dearly! The transition to civilian life was not an easy one, but out of the process, Raul has perfected a few of his hobby undertakings.
He loves to cook! I mean, he really, really, really loves to cook! He is passionate about food and even has his own garden with amazing veggies and four chickens named Chicken noodle, Delilah, Laverne, and Shirley. He loves those fresh eggs!
One treat I enjoy every week is my hubbies homemade bread! It took months of work to become what it is today and out of Raul's labor, I enjoy his healthy, mouth watering, and hand shaped loaves. We have not purchased store bought bread for quite some time now and instead we slice into a new fresh loaf each week!
He is even thinking about creating larger batches and selling them at our local Farmer's Market along with his special mild and hot RRR Gourmet Spicy Any Food Sauce. I will have to save that for another day.
Along with featuring Raul's Homemade bread, he favors the colors yellow and blue. Not surprisingly they are his beloved Navy colors!!! Here is a photo of a throw pillow in his home office and the inspiration colors behind my project for this weeks Global Design Project Cooking, Baking, and Making Theme Challenge.
I created a fun tag to adorn Raul's labor of love. The large tag was created with Daffodil Delight Cardstock and stamped with a cluster of floral images from the new Wood Words Stamp set and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. The Wood Words Stamp Set is coming very soon in the new Creativity Your Way Annual Catalog 2017-2018!
The additional smaller banner is a strip of Whisper White Cardstock stamped with the same floral cluster but in Daffodil Delight Ink. However, the Night of Navy 'You' is from the new Lovely Friends Stamp Set.
Also, in Night of Navy is the "I Loaf' sentiment created using the Letters for You Stamp Set and Large Letters Framelits! I popped the letters up using fun foam cut with the Large Letters Framelits.
Lastly, some natural twine was used to to connect the label and banner with one additional string of twine ending in the Real Red and Crumb Cake Layered Circle and Circled Scallop shapes stamped and heat embossed with the Farmer's Market logo from the Woods Words Stamp Set.
I think we are ready for market!
Fresh from the oven and the aroma is delectable! |

A really lovely project, Valdegur. The embossed flowers look amazing on the Delightful Daffodil tag. And a husband that loves his cooking! What a creative team you both make. Thankyou for sharing your project in the gallery for this weeks GDP Theme Challenge.
